Welcome to Marjorie Lord Designs

Marjorie Lord has been painting, drawing and doing all sorts of craft activities since early childhood. Although from a self taught background Marjorie has been complimenting her learning by attending many different and varied art related workshops over the years.

She has also gone on to formalise her passionate interest in the Arts through external study with Open Universities of Australia, Curtin University of Technology Perth, Undergraduate Arts Degree_Art Course. She is now entering her final year of this degree course.

Marjorie interests in the arts stem from her father and mother who have been actively involved in creating. Her father Tom at age 17 toured the world busking his Magical tricks to earn pocket money to further his travels, When back in Julia Creek, Queensland, Australia as a shearing contractor then going on to help make financial ends meet by becoming the resident local photographer of weddings and formals etc, along with his late wife Heather making jewellery for the town out of polished stones and gems.

Parties were always a hoot at the Jessups having your own in house magician and in house jewellery creator was great for the entertainment and treasure hunts!
